El Puerto de Santa María is situated in the middle of the Bay of Cadiz Nature Reserve. It is bordered by two areas of great natural beauty. On one side is a giant "natural lung" which consists of 200 hectares of Mediterranean pine forest and, on the other, the Cadiz coastline where the ecosystems of the salt marshes and the beaches coexist.

Therefore, El Puerto de Santa María is a natural kaleidoscope of great beauty where the greens of the pine forests, the blue of the ocean and the golden colour of the beaches can all be enjoyed at the same time.
